If you buy into the error thinking of the collective consciousness, you might be tempted to believe in scarcity, lack and recessions. Since there are no recessions in Spirit, I thought I’d provide 9 Prosperity Resources that can help to remind you of the ever present abundance that’s ours by birthright.
Here they are:
1. The Science of Getting Rich–Financial Success Through Creative Thought by Wallace D. Wattles
This little book is one of my faves. It’s about 80 pages, which means it’s not a daunting read. I love its simplicity, and the fact that Wattles reveals that becoming rich is a science that anyone can learn and execute. There are 17 chapters, each chapter being about 2-4 pages in length. It is a DELIGHTFUL read. Here’s an excerpt:
“No one is prevented from getting rich by lack of capital. True, as you get capital the increase becomes more easy and rapid; but one who has capital is already rich, and does not need to consider how to become so. No matter how poor you may be, if you begin to do things in the Certain Way you will begin to get rich; and you will begin to have capital…”

3. The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder
This is a great read on the laws that lead to prosperity from the beloved teacher who wrote the Millionaires of the Bible series (The Millionaires of Genesis, The Millionaire Moses, The Millionaire Joshua and The Millionaire from Nazareth).
Here’s an excerpt from the chapter titled The Prosperity Law of Prayer:
“Even though various prosperity laws are discussed in this book, the power of prayer cannot be over-emphasized for permanent, satsfying prosperity. The person who prays daily is certain to succeed, because he is attuning himself to the richest, most successful force in the universe. Jesus promised, “All things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22)…
It is right and just that you should pray for things if you need them, because you are living in a rich universe that desires to fulfill all your needs…”
I’ve used this book as a reference work on the laws of prosperity and consult it often. Among the laws Ponder discusses are:
- The Basic Law of Prosperity
- The Vacuum Law of Prosperity
- The Creative Law of Prosperity
- The Imaging Law of Prosperity

4. Money and the Law of Attraction by Esther and Jerry Hicks (The Teachings of Abraham)
I deeply enjoy the work done by Esther and Jerry Hicks (The Teachings of Abraham) and their book Money and the Law of Attraction is another offering they’ve created for using the power of the Law of Attraction to create prosperity and abundance. Here’s how the book is formatted:
Money, and the Law of Attraction is formatted in five, vibrant essays:
Part I - Processing of Pivoting and Positive Aspects
Part II - Attracting Money and Manifesting Abundance
Part III - Maintaining Your Physical Well-Being
Part IV - Perspectives of Health, Weight, and Mind
Part V - Careers, as Profitable Sources of Pleasure
I’ve used their games to shift my mind on certain money matters and can definitely say from experience that their processes work. I especially like the process they call Rampage of Appreciation. They offer an Emotional Guidance Scale, which you can use to determine which process would be most effective for you, depending on how you feel in the moment. Great work.

5. Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker
This has been one of my favorite money books, especially because it outlines the psychology of the millionaire mind. Eker talks about our Money Blueprint, and why it’s key to re-define it if we’re to create increased financial prosperity.
His company, Peak Potentials, offers a Millionaire Mind Intensive, which is an intensive 3-day program (when the book first came out, you could get free tickets). I went and what I was exposed to permanently changed my concepts and beliefs about money. Very effective.

6. The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason
This little bombshell of a book is a must-read for building wealth. It tells the story of a man who was so deep in debt that he’d become a slave, and tells the story of what he subsequently did to become the richest man in Babylon.
I’ve loved this book for years, and used to recommend it to my financial planning clients when I was a financial advisor. I’ve always gotten positive comments from folks who decided to pick up a copy and read through it.
Clason teaches 7 simple rules of money acquisition:
- Start thy purse to fattening
- Control thy expenditures
- Make thy gold multiply
- Guard they treasures from loss
- Make of thy dwelling a profitable investment
- Insure a future income
- Increase thy ability to earn
This book is a pivotal read that has re-shaped the way I think about money.

7. The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere and Join the New Rich by Timothy Ferris
The title alone is enough to make me want to buy this book. Still, for some of us who are just sick and tired of fluff, I wondered if the book could live up to its name. So I sat with it for a few minutes in Barnes and Noble one day, and that was all I needed to see that there was indeed a rich depth of substance to this book. It wasn’t just fluff, it delivered on the title. I walked right over to the counter and paid for it, knowing I was making an excellent investment.
More than just offering ideas on how to make money, which it does well, this book is on this list because it re-shaped how I think about resources. Ferris states that there are really two additional currencies (besides money) that must be mastered in order to become a member of the New Rich.
These two currencies are: time and mobility.
Any two of the three currencies, without the third, would not equal being a member of the New Rich. For instance, if you have money and time, but no mobility, you can’t travel the world and live the exotic lifestyle he preaches. If you have mobility and money, but no time, you’re still not free.
I love this book. Ferris’ writing style is down-to-earth and searingly authentic. It’s refreshing to read a book by someone who isn’t afraid of bold self-expression. It works well!
A statement from the inside flap lets you know what you’re about to get into when you read this book:
“He has spent more than five years learning the secrets of the New Rich, a fast-growing subculture who has abandoned the “deferred-life plan” (slave–save–retire) and instead mastered the new currencies–time and mobility–to create luxury lifestyles in the here and now.”
Pick it up today and start working your plan to be a member of the New Rich (which doesn’t require a lot of money if you follow the strategies in the book):

8. The One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealth by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen
This book was my introduction to the term Enlightened Millionaire, those who are “sharing their wealth (both in knowledge and cash)” to “positively change the economic future of the world.”
I’ve never read a book like this before; it’s actually two books in one. On the left side pages is a book that’s outlined and laid out for left-brain thinkers. This side of the book speaks to the logical among us who like information presented in a linear fashion, with charts, graphs and other proofs.
On the right side pages is the same information, told in storybook fashion, for those of us who are right-brain thinkers and love a good story. Ingenius.
This book remains one of my favorite reads on prosperity to this day, though I originally read it over 7 years ago (as of this writing). It’s uniquely creative. There’s a lot to be said for a book that can teach sound money principles in a highly creative fashion that appeals to both left-brain and right-brain thinkers.
Outlined are:
- Millionaire AHA’s, which are the 24 Principles of Wealth, and
- The 7 Money Skills of the Prosperous, and
- Insights on leverage, mentors, teams, networks, and real estate
This is an all-around excellent read for becoming an Enlightened Millionaire.

9. True Prosperity: How to Have Everything by Yehuda Berg
This is a Kabbalah and business book, teaching the powerful principles of prosperity from the Kabbalistic perspective. It teaches how the 99% world, which is the world of Light, influences our ability to create wealth and abundance in the 1% world (the physical world in which we live and manage in by use of our 5 senses).
The reason I love this book is because it’s simple and easy to read, yet powerfully poignant. And, best of all, what’s taught in the book WORKS IN THE REAL WORLD. That’s what we’re all looking for, practical wisdom that really works.
Berg teaches what prosperity truly is, as well as spiritual strategies for building true prosperity. Then he outlines advance Kabbalistic tools for drawing the Light into every area of our lives, especially into our money.
My first read of the book was in December of 2005. I read it in two days. I couldn’t put it down. I just recently read it again. This time I took more time with it and really mulled over the principles. It was just as good, maybe even better, the second time around.
