I’ve been talking about coaching lately, so I thought this might be a good week to highlight some of my coaches. I’ve got several, each for different areas of my life. In this post, I’ll focus on my blogging coach, Yaro Starak, and why I believe he’s outstanding at what he does.

If you read my post on the 7 Key Aspects of a Powerfully Effective Coach, you already know what makes for effectiveness in the coaching relationship. In addition to that, here’s what I appreciate about Yaro:

1. He’s already demonstrated what he’s teaching me to do. His claim to fame is that he attracts high income from his blogging efforts, over six figures per year, which isexcellent in the blogosphere. Not many bloggers can say they’ve reached that milestone. He consistently brings in 5 figures per month, and I like the way he does it: on just a couple of hours per day. That is the essence of elegance (the least amount of effort for the greatest result).

2. His business system are both efficient and effective. Systems are key to running a successful, and elegant, business. I don’t know about you, but I’d like to get the most done in the least amount of time (efficiency). Yet, I’d also like to really make a difference with what I do (effectiveness). Yaro is both efficient and effective. One of his business systems includes a free Blog Profits Blueprint that teaches a proven blueprint for creating a successful, money-making blog.

3. Trust is present. Building a relationship with folks in person can be challenging enough, so building relationships over the web (which is how I met Yaro) can have its own unique set of challenges. People only buy from people that they know, trust and like. When I watched his free video, I felt I could trust him. I saw that he cared about the people he was teaching. His utmost concern is that students learn and implement what they learn immediately.

4. Yaro is an excellent teacher. Not everyone who does something well can teach you how to do it well. Some people are brilliant at what they do, but they can’t teach anyone else how to do it. Some people can teach well, but they can’t implement what they teach to create success for themselves. Yaro can do both: demonstrate high success and teach students how to do the same.

What has my coaching relationship with Yaro done for me? I can think of 5 key benefits, though there are probably a lot more:

1. I know what I’m doing now. I had no idea of what I was doing before I met Yaro, and what’s even worse, I had no idea that I had no idea. (You don’t know what you don’t know.)

2. I know I have trusted and knowledgeable guidance in my corner. This is huge. To have a trusted and knowledgeable guide shaves years off my learning curve.

3. Predictable processes make for predictable outcomes. There’s no guesswork involved here–I simply do the same thing my coach did, as he did it, and I’ll have success too. There’s no need to re-invent the proverbial wheel when I can follow the cookie-cutter method.

4. A network of others who are learning along with me. Part of the coaching program I’m in allows me to network with other students who are at different levels of learning. We have an opportunity to bounce ideas off each other, and to listen to each other’s questions as Yaro answers them. The peer relationship is speeding our learning.

5. Save money, time, energy and frustration. The quickest path between two points is a straight line. By being coached to blogging success by Yaro, I’m following a straight path. I figure it’s easier to go straight for the gold with someone who knows what they’re doing. It’s money well invested.

I hope by now I’ve given you compelling reason to get a coach, in some area of your life. Pick an area where you’d like to achieve high success and search out the best in the business to coach you to it.

I found two invaluable resources on my blogging journey, that’s Darren Rouse at ProBlogger.net and Yaro Starak of Blog Mastermind. What I’ve learned from these two gentlemen in a few short weeks could have easily taken me years to discover on my own.

Now you have the skinny on my blogging coach. He’s pretty awesome. And I’m a darned good student.

I’ll post more this week on coaching…stay tuned.

Go for the gold (in a straight line),

Valerie Love
